How it works

Everything Koltracker shows comes from public Solana transactions, and every flag links to them.

60s

Bought before

For every KOL buy we look at every wallet that bought the same coin in the 60 seconds before it.

3+ coins

Repeats

The wallet has to be early on at least 3 different coins for the same KOL. Once is luck.

10%+

Of their buys

It must be early on at least 10% of that KOL's buys, and 5x more often than for other KOLs.

0 snipers

Excluded

Bots that are early on everyone, the KOL's own known wallets and program or pool accounts never count.

1. We watch KOL buys

We follow the public wallets of Solana memecoin KOLs. A KOL buy is a swap where their wallet receives a memecoin in exchange for SOL or a stablecoin.

2. We check who bought before

For every KOL buy, we list every wallet that bought the same coin in the 60 seconds before it, and how many seconds early each one was.

3. We remove the noise

Only wallets that signed the transaction and paid SOL or a stablecoin count as buyers, so program, router and pool accounts never appear. Known KOL wallets never count. Snipers are excluded too: bots that are early on buys of 5 or more different KOLs, or on 2% or more of all KOL buys we've checked. They buy early on everyone, not one KOL in particular.

4. We flag repeat patterns

A wallet is flagged as a side wallet for a KOL only when all of these are true:

  • it bought before them on 3 or more different coins,
  • it was early on at least 10% of that KOL's buys, and
  • it does this at least 5x more often for this KOL than for other KOLs on average ("vs chance": its share of this KOL's buys divided by its share of everyone else's).

Pattern only vs verified link

Pattern only means the flag is based on timing alone. A verified link means there is also a direct on-chain transfer between the side wallet and the KOL's main wallet (for example, it was funded with SOL by it). We show the proof transaction either way.

Scores are recalculated as new buys come in, so a flag can disappear if the pattern stops holding.

A flag is a pattern in public data. It does not say who controls a wallet or why it bought. If you think a flag is wrong, dispute it.
